Day 3. VILNIUS - TRAKAI - DRUSKINKAI
It’s now time to pamper yourself. Drive to Druskininkai, the mineral water and curative mud resort of the country. Please do not forget to drive via Trakai – a small settlement with the georgeous red-brick castle on the lake. It’s about 130km and 1h 30min of driving from Vilnius. SPA with pools, gym, massage, mud bath – all is for your health. They even have the all-year-round snow arena, so you can even take your family for a session of downhill skiing and snowboarding. Other activities - trekking, cycling, high-ropes, visit to the homestead of a woodcrafter, drive to the ethnographic village of the area, visit to the open-air park and museum of ex-soviet sculptures.
Day 4. DRUSKININKAI full day

Day 6. DRUSKININKAI - KAUNAS
There’s just 130 km of driving today, so you may still spend some time in or around the resort. Our suggestion is to stop in Birstonas for a light walk along the river Nemunas and lunch. Then continue to Kaunas where you will find ethnographic open-air museum of household tradition of Lithuania (20 km to Kaunas), the beautiful baroque Monastery in Pazaislis, massacre memorial museum of the 9th Fort, Devils’ Museum, Museum of Mr. Chiune Sugihara, Art Museum of country’s most renowned artist M. K. Ciurlionis. Night in Kaunas.
Day 7. KAUNAS full day
Full day in the city full of culture and Jewish heritage.
Day 8. KAUNAS - KEDAINIAI - RUNDALE PALACE - RIGA
270km is ahead of you today. And there are stops to consider en-route. First of all it is Kedainiai, a small town north of Kaunas is well worth a lunch stop. It even has two former shuls, now beautifully restored and housing the local Cultural Centre and the Art School. Further north you cross the border (no formalities) and enter Latvia. Do not miss the huge and gorgeous baroque Palace of Rundale of the 18th century. Then there’s just 80 km left to Riga. It will take you an hour to reach the city and some half-an-hour in the traffic there.
Day 9. RIGA full day
A full day in Riga, the biggest city of the region. The ever buzzy Old Town may be perfect ambience to spend your time in. Art museums, galleries, coffee shops… And the majestic Art Nouveau architecture of Riga is a brand of its own.
